You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health care will cost. This is prescribed by the federal law enacted 1/1/22 called The No Surprises Act, Title 45, section 149.610.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.
You can ask your health care provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service or at any time during treatment. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.

Your insurance company may offer reimbursement for out-of-network sessions. It is the client's responsibility to inquire about this possibility. Upon request, I can provide a form that clients can submit to their insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Currently, I am not able to accept Medicare or Medicaid.
However, some Medicare Advantage plans may be accepted if you can receive approval from your insurer.
Please note that the law prevents me from accepting self-pay from those on Medicaid plans. PA Medicaid has a list of approved counselors who are able to work with you. Thank you for your understanding.
